Yo, people! Hope you all doing well! As you can all see from the title, it’s about our trip to Shankarpur. It was a good one and we stayed at a resort. This resort was owned by Mayukh’s relative. Sometimes I feel Mayukh has better connections than me 🤣. Awesome place tbh. I would highly recommend everyone to visit if beaches are your thing with a quality stay. Mayukh had mentioned during 3rd year of college that one of his relatives has a place near a beach. But sadly COVID-19 pandemic started, and we were shut at home. Now it is the year 2023, and Mayukh’s elder sister’s wedding was wrapped up in January. Dipu was in Ahmadabad for his TCS project so he couldn’t attend the wedding. I would bring in a separate series for Didi’s wedding. It was also pretty fun.
It was almost a year since we had been on a trip and we were thinking of going some place. Mayukh suggested we can go to Shankarpur. I was on board. The next thing was to gather people for this trip, he asked his friends and I asked my friends. One of my friends was pretty excited about this trip but he didn’t go. Instead of him, Sandeep went in his place. Shobhit also wanted to go but his grandmother expired. Subham is my school friend and college buddy, he was in for the plan. Gourav was in too. I asked my cousins as well but it was a flop. And BTW I was just promoted to Team Lead in Hitachi Vantara before going on this trip.
From side of Mobious, his school friend Santra was joining us. I’m using his last name as his name is also the same as Subham, so just to avoid confusion.
Just before this trip, there was a bit of tension between Gourav and a few of my school friends. One of the motives behind this trip was to patch things up. We wanted to get things back to normal between them. Sandeep, Gourav, Subham and myself met on Jaggadal Ghat. We crossed Ganga through a ferry. It was a pretty hot day and I’d long hairs, I was sweating like anything.
All of us re-grouped at Howrah Station. And before we were about to reach Howrah. I called Mayukh. I asked him to order a pizza for all of us. We were hungry. There was some time before the departure of our train.
Mobious was waiting for us at the Pizza Hut corner. We took a short break at that place, finished pizza, cold drinks and headed towards the boarding area. The train boarded at the station. We exchanged our seats with a family. Because of this, we got all our people together. So now we were all settled down, the train departed station and the trip began.
